OfficialWire was the original name of WireNews, which was founded on 28 Nisan 5761 (21 April 2001).
 
The founders of OfficialWire sold the company to a group of American investors who failed to honour the purchase agreement and eventually their plans for OfficialWire failed and were abandoned.
