Delhi Police Commissioner Sh. S.N. Srivastav facilitated the Smartian women of Delhi on the occasion of International Women Day. 22women police personnel and 16 women civilians awarded memento and appreciation certificates for their contribution to society, especially during the COVID-19 Pandemic period.

Indresh (Social worker), Dr. Sharda Jain (Gynecologist), Mrs. Ritika Gupta (Social worker), Smt. Prarthana Chauhan (Animal rights activist), Smt. Sangeeta Sharma (Social Worker), Smt Priyal Bhardwaj (Human Rights Lawyer - ‘Sangini Saheli’), and Ms. Seema Malhotra (SCOPE Plus NGO) are among the list of awardees.
Commissioner highlighted the measures taken by the police for ensuring zero tolerance for a crime against women Sashakti Self-Defense Program, tech apps like Himmat Plus, Safe City project with 10,000 cameras, etc. According to him the crime against women reduced by 30% in Delhi.
The program is commenced with skits, a demo of self-defense, and a small video film.
