5 Referral Books on 3 Criminal Laws for IOs Released by the LG of Delhi


LG of the national capital Delhi Mr. Vinay Kumar Saxena released 5 books, specially prepared by the Delhi Police Academy for the information and training of Investigation Officers in 3 new criminal laws in the presence of Mr. Sanjay, Arora Commissioner of Delhi Police and other dignitaries at Kingsway Camp Police Lines on occasion of Commissionerate Day Ceremonial Day Parade.


According to LG three new criminal laws ie. Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam have come into force today.


Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam has come into force and this is an important step towards bringing changes in the Indian criminal justice system. These new criminal laws emphasized a victim-centric approach, strengthening women's and children's rights and focusing on national security.


As an administrator of Delhi LG has taken solute in the ceremonial day parade comprising platoons from all 6 ranges of Delhi Police, Traffic Police, Armed Police, Security Battalion, SWAT, and Communication & CPCR unit led by Parade Commander Sh. Rishi Kumar Singh, PS, ACP.


Delhi Police was founded in 1861 after the adoption of the Indian Police Act, Delhi Police remained a part of the Punjab Police until 1947. In 1978, the Delhi Police Act was passed and the Commissionerate System was introduced with effect from 1st July 1978. Delhi Police as part of its platinum jubilee celebrations initiated the Commissionerate Day Parade to be held every year on the 1st of July, starting from the year - 2022
