Delhi Police PCR Vans is Among the Largest Ambulance Services

Delhi: During complete lockdown for the fight against coronavirus infection, police control room vans played a tremendous role by taking more than 700 pregnant women to hospitals.


In few cases, due to sever lever pain temporary arrangements made in PCR and the baby was born in a PCR van in midway. At that crucial stage, public transport was not permitted and the family of these women was not in a condition to effort private vehicles. According to Delhi Police Commissioner Shri S.N. Srivastava, these matters are related to Life & death which can’t put on hold for an ambulance.


As per the Indian Police Foundation Delhi Police, PCR Vans are among the largest ambulance services in the country. Annually, they transport around 40,000 persons to hospitals.
