Dengue Outbreak Taken Worrisome Turn in Bangladesh


The Vector-Borne fever cases crossed 10000 and the death toll continued to rise in Bangladesh. Since last January, death from dengue fever reached 62. Out of which 15 died in the last 5 days.


According to the Director General of Health Services, Dhaka and Chittogram are sensitive divisions that noticed the highest number of cases. Around 2000 patients received treatment at various hospitals in Bangladesh.


The pre-monsoon survey conducted on Aedes Mosquito Larvae density by the Health Directorate alarmed the risk of dengue infection greatly in the coming few days.


Mosquitos found fertile breeding in accumulated water in the various parts due to intermittent rains have created a worsened situation.
