The United States commends the Guinean justice sector on the completion of the Stadium Massacre trial. The verdict, including the conviction of former junta President Moussa Dadis Camara and the reparations the court has ordered, offers a sense of justice for the victims and survivors. We commend the victims and witnesses who bravely came forward to tell their stories. We applaud Guinea’s human rights organizations for their persistence in advocating for accountability that led to this trial and judgement.
