WireNews offers registered journalists an internationally recognised press card for just £95 per year
WireNews was founded in April 2001, by a small group of journalists and offers an Internationally recognised press credential.
Initially reserved only for accredited journalists, WireNews has now expanded its credential scheme to allow reputable citizen journalists and bloggers to apply for its Internationally recognised press card.
WireNews charges just £95 per year for its press card, far less than Union dues or most of the plastic cards available on the Internet. We also offer a 5-year and a Lifetime membership for registered journalists.
With more than 350,000 registered journalists, WireNews journalists collectively represent a huge cross-section of mainstream media, newspaper journalists, photojournalists, and now citizen journalists.
A key feature of the programme is the inclusion of electronic letters confirming accreditation, available at no additional cost. These letters can be sent directly to venues or organisations requiring confirmation, making it easier for members to access events and opportunities worldwide.
