Self-defense techniques demonstrated by the experts in the two days training program organized for a female student of vocational training at Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Kendra, Mandir Marg under the banner of the Sashakti Program.
Techniques are easy to learn and will be helpful to tackle lurking dangers while traveling alone.
Sashakti is an initiative of Delhi Police for providing training on self-defense techniques to school and college-going girls and females. Aims to train over one lakh females with the help of schools and institutions.
Another initiative of Delhi Police for women and senior citizens is the mobile application Himmat Plus.
Application is available on play stores and easy to download and operate in android, IOS, and Windows operations.
Application is designed to send an SMS to emergency contacts chosen while registering. Also provides a location to Police Control Room as a link on Google/Maps along with 30-second video & audio of the surrounding during the emergency.
