Sense HR: 'Not Ready for Prime Time'
Sense HR: 'Not Ready for Prime Time'

Unfortunately, I find myself in the position of having to report on the suitability, or in this case, the unsuitability of a human resources (HR) platform that holds itself out as a "Next-Generation HR Software Designed by Experts."

Sense HR boasts that it is the result of over 20 years' knowledge by its 'team' of developers. Really!? G-D, I hope not. I hope they're simply lying and not demonstrating the limit of their abilities.

My company first contacted Sense HR on May 2, 2024, when I requested a Demo. That was my mistake.

Nearly a week later I endured a video call with a salesman, who certainly described an HR system that I believed would meet our requirements. Based on his claims, I placed an order for the Sense HR Elite subscription package. That was my second mistake.

Over a week later, I suffered another video call with yet another person who planned to walk me through the process of creating my company's Sense HR account. The problem was that there was some technical problem or a series of technical problems that prevented him from his goal. I should have realised then that Sense HR was not a credible HR tool. But, ever the optimist, I accepted his excuses for the system failure and waited for an email that would allow me to login and begin using the "Next-Generation HR Software Designed by Experts." That was my third mistake.

I waited for the rest of the day and only received the login after intimating by email that I would cancel the subscription if they could not deliver. Not cancelling then was my fourth mistake.

During the last week, since then, I have tried to add our employees' details, create standardised documents and otherwise use the Sense HR platform, to no avail. Sense HR is simply not ready for Prime Time. It is not a suitable product for any company that needs a reliable HR platform to organise employees' information and records in compliance with the law. At best it's a glorified Rolodex, albeit one that does not work.

Today, I cancelled my company's subscription. That was the first thing I've done right since I had the misfortune of stumbling across Sense HR's website.

Don't make my mistakes.
