Tonga National Day

Tonga National Day
Tonga National Day

On behalf of the people and Government of the United States of America, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to the people of the Kingdom of Tonga as you celebrate the anniversary of your National Day on November 4.

The bond between the United States and Tonga is one of enduring friendship, rooted in shared values and respect. Our partnership has recently taken significant strides, including through the introduction of a U.S. visa pilot program in Nuku’alofa, which paves the way for greater exchanges in education, tourism, and business. Additionally, Tonga’s exemplary leadership during this year’s Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting underscored the country’s commitment to fostering unity and cooperation on critical regional issues, further reinforcing the importance of our collective efforts in the Pacific.

As we commemorate this special day, I am excited about the potential for our nations to work together in addressing both the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Together, we will continue to promote a free, open, and prosperous Pacific.

Once again, my heartfelt wishes to all citizens of the Kingdom of Tonga on this joyous occasion.
